General Benedict Appreciation » Benedict's voice » June 12, 2013 6:28 pm |
Benedict's voice was a huge factor for me falling for him, that Alan Rickman impression just about tipped me over the edge as I adore AR and am a huge Snape fan. I was like "That's it, I'm sold.". I think a hot voice is sooo vital, I mean, I love Richard Armitage too - nuff said.
General Benedict Appreciation » What Shakespearean roles would you like to see him in? (Not Hamlet!) » June 12, 2013 5:59 pm |
Angelo the baddy in Measure for Measure, he would be epic in that commanding, calculating, detached role. Despite being a total hypocrit Angelo can be a very hot role and of course, it's not all about Benedict's sex appeal but about his acting prowess too.

No idea where else to put this but just to let the folks know who knew I was sitting and exam today that it went well. I drew upon my inner Sherlock and calmly recalled information stored in my brain. I sat quietly with fingers templed on lips to recall important info and it really calmed and focused me. This show has gotten me through this last week of intense revision, no doubt about that and has helped me through a gruelling three hour exam.
Also, it was nice to know I could post this all here afterwards .

Hi Davina
I'm studing an Bachelor of Arts Open Degree so you get to choose all 6 modules (1 per year as it's part-time study) and I've gone for a mix of early years education (I work with 2-5 year olds) and the arts. This year it's been an art history module and this coming year is children's literature.
So on Monday I shall be imagining Sherlock whispering the answers in my ear or calling me an idiot for not remembering.
Character Analysis » Sherlock’s Sexuality: An In-Depth Contemplation and Study » June 8, 2013 7:42 pm |
I totally agree about the possibility of Sherlock being asexual and also the notion of him having a very, long term relationship before sex was brought into it. The show isn't bogged down by all this and the writers have made it clear to a reasonable point about where Sherlock stands on this. I do like it when we break through the cold, distant Sherlock like when he knew he'd upset Molly when she offered to do anything for him before muttering about buying crisps as she left the room. Sherlock is not a machine, afterall, as much as he'd like to pretend at times.

Thanks so, so much everyone! It is no exageration to say Sherlock is my sanity saver right now. Plus, I have a thing about highly intelligent men. My friends think I've lost it and am in "cloud nerd/geek land" even more now, so yes, self-help group indeed .
See you all around, am off to start the re-watch xxxxx

I agree, tonnaree, I would love to know how they did that sequence as in how much did BC do himself and how much was he directed.

Hey folks
I'm Elvina. I'm currently revising for an Open University exam on Monday and while on BBCiplayer about a week ago I decided to browse the drama catergory...ep 2 of series 1 of Sherlock was there. I have been meaning to see what all the fuss was about and already love the RDJ movies and Martin Freeman I decided to give it a whirl. Dear Lord. Why did nobody warn me????? I have watched all 6 this week and three episodes in I realised I was in love with Sherlock. Like an idiot I thought that might be an odd thing, I mean, he's you know...Sherlock, is this allowed? Lol. Oh how innocent I was...So, last night I was up late on youtube watching "How did Sherlock fake his own death" vids and all kinds of interviews. Heaven.
So, so happy to be here. Sherlock is currently keeping me sane as I revise and come Monday on that exam hall I shall be going to my mind palace to pass with flying colours.
Really looking forward to getting to know you all.
