Apparently, the company Big Chief Studios is working on them! I'm sure we'll get a Sherlock and a John, unsure if there will be any other characters made. I'm so excited, I've been trying to find Sherlock figures myself only to find they don't exist - yet!

Their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BigChiefStudiosLimited
If you scroll to a Sept 3rd post, there is a picture that says "Baker Street" on it which is a teaser.

You can see that they make great Who figures so I suspect the Sherlock ones will look great as well. Hope we don't have to wait long.

I do prefer to sit on the couch and watch Sherlock on TV with (or without) my husband, but I do not want to wait! Help!

This is what I do: I download the episode on my computer, then I put it on a usb drive and put that in either my DVD player or my PS3. Then voila, I can watch on the TV screen! Do you have a player that you can plug a usb drive into? If not, there is a relatively inexpensive cable that connects from your laptop to the TV screen and whatever is on your laptop screen will show up on the TV screen.

Same - not waiting! There's no way I could wait! I will be finding a way to watch the same night if not the next day from when it airs in the UK Even though I download because I can't wait, it's a given I will watch when it airs here as well as buy the blu-ray.

Another hello from Michigan, Sam. Welcome!

Do you mind saying what part of California, generally, you're from? I used to go to LA and the San Bernardino mountains once or twice a year.

No, I don't mind I'm a 4 hour drive north from LA. I go to LA a good amount as well as Disneyland hehe.

This will be either awesome or terrible.

Yup, haha. I am also leaning on awesome. I'm a manga fan (not huge but I really like the artistry) so I'm looking forward to this. I like that picture shown...we'll see!

I am on the side of awesome.. judging from what's already out there in Fan Art..

Star Wars had a manga in the the late 1990s and they were brilliant!

Really?? First I've heard! I'll have to look into that.

^ All good points. I was thinking about the showing off thing and at first I did think he was showing off for her but as you pointed out, he does that with everybody. I guess it is just admiration. What about him keeping her phone? I guess I can see sentiment if it's a reminder of a formidable adversary and not a relationship. Still, him getting really upset when she "died" still makes me slightly question. Maybe Sherlock himself was confused haha.

Just two days ago, when watching SiB again, I was wondering about that dialogue between John and Irene.
John: I'm not gay.
Irene: Well, I am!

I'm thinking about "gay" and "lesbian".
In German you could translate "schwul" and "lesbisch".
I remembered this kind of "joke": If a man tells me: "I am gay" (Ich bin schwul) I answer "I am, too." (Ich auch) it means that he loves men - and I do so, too. So in fact I am straight.

It would be a difference if John would have said: I am not homosexual. And Irene: Well, I am.

Is this understandable?

Oh, I didn't even think of that. Could be she meant it that way! Is Irene not lesbian then? Because she isn't in the canon, right?

Think we'll hear at least a mention of Irene in future episodes?

Thank you for sharing that article! I believed Sherlock when he said he was a sociopath. The thing that made me believe this also was that sociopaths can form deep connections with a select few people. To me, it would still make sense that Sherlock "sacrificed" himself for his friends even though the article says different. Having said that, the article has shed light on the subject for me and I do see Aspergers being much what he has. I like that John seems to know this but I hope they bring it up more in Season 3.

Someone mentioned (sorry, forgot who) that Sherlock could be telling people he is a sociopath because of the stigma of Asperger's. He may want people to fear him instead so he just let's people believe that. If this is the case, then Moffat and Gatiss could have actually done their research and having John point out to the audience that it is actually Asperger's even if it was very brief. Again, I hope they shed more light on this in Season 3, even if brief again. John also says Sherlock is the most "human" person he's ever known (*tear*), which I can see exactly what he means.

When Sherlock was eavesdropping on Irene and John, Sherlock runs away and looks very upset. Is this because she said she was gay? Because he's relieved she's alive? He does a few things in this ep that really make me think he has strong feelings for her. Maybe not quite love, but close. And I think a little more than just admiration. I have not read the book so I'm just going off the show alone.

There is much room for interpretation as you guys are saying, which I love.
