I recently finished the Sherlock Holmes stories on May 24, and I couldn't seem to find anything like it, until I found Anne Perry's The Face of a Stranger. I haven't quite finished it, but the writing is excellent. It is set in Sherlock's time fame. I don't want to give away to much of the book, but if you have any questions about it, feel free to ask
