Some details about Benedict´s speech during Outstanding Achievement Award. Sounds like it was a nice spectacle:

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

And a few photographs from the event:

I hate constant British russophobia, but this dig was actually quite funny:

Took me ages to recognise Loo...I think she is completely sloshed!

I didn't recognise her until you pointed her out!  Perhaps sloshed, and enjoying it!  Benedict's outfit is kind of cute: he looks like an overgrown schoolboy!

And he definitely IS wearing the cap because of a hair cut...so not quite sure how that deduction was quashed.
I was sobbing at the film montage and Mark's tribute was hilarious!

I just cannot stop laughing at the way she is looking at him....she speaks for all of us!

What a wonderful thing this was, Tom's speech, the video montage, and of course Benedict's speech. Long as usual. Lovely words for the people dear to him and then getting political again. He was amazing.

Loo looks at Ben the way I look at dessert.

He was very cute explaining the hat/haircut situation.  Do we know if he has an awful haircut for a role?

Yes, the haircut is awful, and yes, it is for the role of Dominic Cummings, a Brexit strategist. Try this link for a photo:

Yes I wasn't keen on that either, though I enjoyed the film.
