Benedict recites part of a poem (called "Home" by Warsan Shire) for this short film helping to raise money for Syrian refugees.

Benedict has also co-signed an appeal to the British government to take in more refugees:

It's always nice to see celebrities actively involve themselves in issues like this. 

After a performance of Hamlet, Benedict also appealed to fans for donations to help Syrian refugees.

He's been reading this poem out loud at the end of every performance of Hamlet, and it literally makes me cry every time.
