There's also a set revealed, which seem to support the Victorian theory.

Why, what, how? What is this? Have they suddenly started time travelling? I thought "lifting the Victorian fog" was one of the main things about bringing Sherlock to modern day? Hopefully it's for a theme ball or something.

Oh, I love this confusion. It is part of the fun. Although this time it is a bit more confusing than usual.

And I would love to see them in Victorian costume.

... and now Tumblr is going crazy because Sophie was on the set, and are ranting about how they don't want to have a love story between Sherlock (Ben) and a woman (Sophie), because that is not what the show is about!

I'm worried the special really is special, something that hasn't the usual setting that isn't a continuation of what we have seen in series 3. but then that shouldn't be a surprise for me, why a "special" when everything goes business a usual.

Ivy, I totally understand what you're saying. I think it will be very difficult to do something completely different after the S3-ending they gave us.
Those Specials work pretty well when it comes to "Doctor Who", but then DW is a completely different show - and well, almost everything is pretty special in DW.
But so far we have no idea what's really going to happen, so I guess... anything is possible.
