I actually took the opportunity this time instead of thinking too much about it and have also managed to get a ticket for Friday. I am officially excited all over again!!

Kerkerian is a genius (thank you!!), and I now have a rental car and tickets to the Friday event. I can hardly believe it all came together in two days. It'll be a 2 1/2 hour drive each way, but I hope it'll be worth it. Anyone else gonna be there on Friday? Anyone need a lift from near-ish Banbury?

Yeah I'm not sure - I tweeted BBC arts asking about whether we could watch the event and were there tickets, and an hour later it disappeared!

I wonder if it was originally scheduled and he's had to leave early because of Black Mass filming and getting back to Boston?

Will he still be at the letters live event though?
Maybe the screening thing was subject to a mix up with times, or it could be they'd announced it without first getting permission for it from his reps.

I wouldn't worry about him not being there, it's very probably rather to do with a mix up, or maybe someone who's involved did indeed refuse permission or something like that.
On the hay festival website, both events are still on (and the Friday one is not sold out yet).

Actually, if it disappeared after they began getting texts about it, then it would suggest that it was listed by mistake in the first place, and when they started getting queries, it highlighted the error!

Can I just say how blimmin excited I am about this!!! I've had a rubbish few months and I'm starting to believe that this was supposed to happen at this time so just as I am feeling better about life I get this opportunity, the perfect reward.

I've just been listening to Mansfield Park on the iplayer and the thought that not only will I get to hear that silky voice but actually see the man in person is just the best thing, I really can't wait!

I love that there seem to be a few of us that have got ticket to one or both sessions, do we want to try and do a group meet up or just see what happens??

Yay, awesome! Looking forward to meeting all of you! I won't have mobile internet while I'm there, though. Although I suppose I could go for the 2 EUR per day option that my contract offers. Let me think about that.
