Thanks ladies! I'm still struggling to process it. I mean, we have celebrities dropping by all the time but him? I don't think there has ever been so much excitement about a celebrity since Prince William and Princess Kate's visit.

Literally couldn't sleep last night. Would he be wearing a suit (as befitting a host) in this really humid weather (plus it's the monsoon season soon)? Would he be adventurous enough for our local delicacies? How long would he be here? So many questions but not enough answers!

Currently there's very scarce information available on it. Still digging for more. I'll count myself really really lucky if I get to be there! (with it being a school day and me being in another state..)

Oh Polar, you just have to try and hit the Red Carpet or whatever, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll see him somewhere! Maybe at the airport...?

I've been watching the press reports from Malaysia on Sky News, and they do look very very hot; I hope he's prepared!

On German television the show will be broadcast live on Sat 1, next Wednesday at 00:05 a.m.! (And Wednesday in this case means the night from Wednesday to Thursday!)

So, so far there aren't any updates on whether there will be a red carpet, or whether it's a day or evening event, and when Ben'll touch down, he being a host he might fly in earlier than Wednesday. It's immensely frustrating for the fans here.

However, I can show you where the event will take place, from a picture I took from a nearby landmark skyscraper...

Sorry for the quality, I think it was raining then, but the Laureus Award would be held in that Sydney Opera House-looking turqoise colored structure just off centre of the picture. It's called Istana Budaya (literally translated as the Culture Palace).

Here the heat isn't so much a problem as the humidity. Okay it can get pretty hot too. Maybe if I get to attend any red carpet or meet & greets and meet the great Batch himself I'd give him a face towel or a handheld battery fan or something.

Apparently this ceremony is going to be broadcast to 100 countries!!

It's live around Asia, and then highlights programmes going to the rest of the world.

Polar, can you find out your end what time the programmes will start? So I can work out the difference and find a stream? Xx

Good morning! It's at 9pm local Malaysian time, which is GMT +8.

At least now we don't have to worry about the heat too much since it's night time.
