I'm getting a real buzz out of seeing them together! I wonder if they hung out together when not filming? And when Benedict was doing motion capture for Smaug, maybe Martin was there so that they could interact! They did the same thing with Gollum; Andy Serkis did his motion capture while they filmed Martin's part of the scene; it was all done at the same time.

Benedict always claimed they were never on set together. But there is one pic of Martin on set, where Benedict is clearly filming in the background!

You know it was an interview with Martin on set, but cannot see it at a glance!
