What a brilliant quote

This is from a 2005 article (a rewarding read) but this sentence is quite unbelievable :

"I've been very lucky at what's happened in my career to date, but playing something as far from me as possible is an ambition of mine - anything from a mutated baddy in a comic book action thriller, to a detective."

Find the whole article here:

"To fake the death of one sibling may be regarded as a misfortune; to fake the death of both looks like carelessness." Oscar Wilde about Mycroft Holmes

"It is what it is says love." (Erich Fried)

“Enjoy the journey of life and not just the endgame. I’m also a great believer in treating others as you would like to be treated.” (Benedict Cumberbatch)

Amazing! As if he'd known already.

And quite an interesting article. Few news to me, but all those adventures put together make me think he is at least 20 years older than he in fact is.

And the last sentence: He concludes: "I love to paint as well and I'd love to write, but right now I'm concentrating on acting."
I would love to see a painting - and just imagine one day he would write a novel............... Ahhhh......

This will serve as yet more fuel for the whimsical theories that The Batch is not quite human, but is instead:

1. half fae
2. half alien
3. perpetrator of a Faustian/Robert-Johnson-esque bargain in exchange for his stunning talent and sudden rise to stardom.

If I believed in such things, I think I'd place my money on half-fae.  Finding out he has fairy glamour would explain a heck of a lot, including how he manages to be so bizarrely beautiful when according to all applicable laws of physics his face shouldn't work at all.  Not to mention that otherworldly voice, the eerie eyes . . .

Right, sorry, had to take a minute to remind myself that I'm a sensible person who doesn't believe in such things. :D

That's a really interesting theory, Anna, now you're mentioning it …
