I just watched the Beryl Coronet as it's the theme of the next quiz of the Paris Holmesian Circle. If I had not been an infant in the sixties, I'm sure I'd have been a fan of David Burke who plays the villain in this one, though he later was Watson in the Granada series. I haven't seen other episodes yet, but this isn't one of my favorite adaptations - I find Holmes quite lacking in charisma and there isn't a lot of humor.
