An early edition Of The Hound of the Baskervilles, signed by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle achieved nearly 10x it's guide price at an auction here in Essex the other day. The book sold to an on-line bidder for £3,900. The whole of the collection which was also up for sale which included letters sold for over £8,600.
