Had a bit of a difficulty answering this. I'm not sure about my gender but I was born with XX chromosomes and their corresponding parts, so I voted female. Just sayin'.

A third option like "other" or so (at least) is definitely missing here.

He’s got a dog. We go to the pub on weekends. I’ve met his mum and dad …

… and his friends and all his family and I’ve no idea why I’m telling you this.

I'm female!

This is the second forum I have been part of that has more females than males.

I've never been a member of a board where 88% of the members where female and 12% were male.  Suddenly I'm ashamed of the fact that I chose an avatar of a babe in a sexy Sherlock outfit.

My own science fiction message board -- All Sci-Fi -- seems to be 90% male.  We have female members, but they don't contribute as often as the guys do.  I wish that was not the case.

If any of you folks could help me out, I'd appreciate it.  And here's my Facebook page, just to make things a bit easier.

A good debate is like a fencing match — you don't have to win to get a good workout.

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.

My two cents:
Of Course there are more females...females are more vocal...more expressive & more apt to feel somewhat of a "bond" with a series that features how 2 friends endure obstacles, adventures & challenges.
Um, please pardon,  as the above was a bit difficult to write, considering the massive intellect & incredible depth, scope & quality of this amazing series!!!
