I really love this photo because (without it sounding mean) it shows his age, but I think he's certainly aged gracefully and beautifully.

Ladies, I found your comments about him being happy interesting because I thought I was the only one who thought like that about him and I can get a bit over analytical sometimes so I thought maybe I was being a bit crazy.
But I do sometimes feel sad for him because if you come out of a long relationship - even after just a couple of years, it can really throw you off balance and take time to get over, and for him that happened just at a time when he was learning to live in the public eye; it must've been really hard.
And sometimes he doesn't look truly happy, which is why it's so lovely, and so noticeable, when he does.
Anyone who gets tears in their eyes when they hear someone say something nice about them, needs reassuring that they're loveable imo (I'll volunteer!!) - I don't think he's as confident in himself as people believe, so it would make me so happy for him if he got the recognition he deserves for his acting AND settled down with someone who loves him and makes him happy.

Sorry about that - it's nice to say what you feel to others who sort of understand though

And I actually found he often looked truly happy with Olivia, his smile was so relaxed. What I found most endearing was that she looked a bit like his mother in her youth.

Hey Tinks you're not crazy lol!

We all just want him to be happy ;) I think that, at the moment he's in a good place though. It shows in his demeanour. To me, as long as he's happy - single or attached - that's all that matters to me. Course I'd love him to have a special someone too.

I love to think he's happy because he's got the love of his life hidden away somewhere, but he's awfully good at hiding it if he has - he's barely in one place for long lately!
Let's hope this is his year personally as well as professionally

His hair is absolutely perfect there, too.

Oh sod it, I'm done with rattling off superlatives. The bloke is perfection, I fancy the PANTS off him, I adore his character, he's my ideal man.....

I'm watching HLV...I don't know why I'm putting myself through watching him nearly die twice....his poor little face. All pained - physically and emotionally. gah!!

Could those photos possibly be around the time of his car-jacking experience? That is bound to leave you pretty traumatised for a while and could be why he was a little different. I watched an interview with a woman who was with him at the time of the car-jacking and she said that she literally lost a stone in a night.
Then again, I might have the dates wrong.

HLV is so hard to watch - that's the one where I fell in love with Sherlock, the character (i refuse to believe Ben's description of Sherlock as a "bastard")!

I feel the same Timks, the whole of season 3 endears him to me even more. He's an arse. But he's a loveable arse!

Just got to the meeting with CAM in the restaurant. He is smacked off his nads! I do wonder if he knew he'd messed up with the deal because of the morphine but had to go through with it. I think he knew he was doomed from the start.

Should put this in the HLV thread really!

Thank you for all these lovely pictures this morning! What a handsome piece of man he is!

... WHAT, his bum at 24? I've looked at a lot of bums with my friend and seriously, his beats them all!

About him being happy; That is all I would want for him. Seeing him getting teary when getting compliments just breaks me apart... He is fantastic and he deserves to know it too! I hope he finds the right person who can install that belief in himself!

I know what it's like when people say nice things about you and you don't believe them... but I also know what it feels like when the right person comes along and tells you 'I have faith in you'. I want that to happen to him (Even though I know it, sadly, won't be me *sigh*)

You can always tell when Ben is genuinely happy because if you cover his smile and just look at is eyes, you can still see that he's happy.
