Re: The Sherlock Holmes Riddle

It's not the magnifier in Holmes' hand, is it?

Is it something in the source code?

"Yes, of course I forgive you."

No. To both. You're not looking for a magnifying glass. You're not going to find one. You're looking for something, a code, a word, something that tells you where the magnifyer is. And it's not in the source, it's on the riddle page itself.

Re: The Sherlock Holmes Riddle

No. If you want I can tell you where to look but I don't want to just spoil it if you don't want to.

Hmm. I really don't know. Oh, I'm sorry, did I say 'know'? I meant 'care'. I don't really care.

Re: The Sherlock Holmes Riddle

No, just morse code. You should be able to find a morse code cracking website somwhere.

Re: The Sherlock Holmes Riddle

OK, that's a little bit wierd. Maybe look at a morse code alphabet and try de-coding it yourself. That's what I did

Re: The Sherlock Holmes Riddle

What? Just google morse code and look at a picture of the alphabet and do it yourself. That's what I did. You will notice there are little spaces every once in a while. That's where a sequence ends. You probably found some translator that translates it into German. Because English certainly doesn't have the dotted a.

Re: The Sherlock Holmes Riddle

I just don't get it.

I read the code like this:

. . . = S
_ = T
. _ _ . = P
. . = I
. = E
. _ . _ = ?
. = E
. _ . = R
. _ . = R
. = E
. . _ = U
. _ = A
_ . . = D

Nah. We all have our dumb moments, that doesn't make us so.
