Re: You know you're obsessed with Sherlock when...

I pass a store called Moran █████ every day... It's not even confirmed for Series 3 and already I can't help staring at it suspiciously every time I pass it.

It's also disturbingly close to my home. The only place of note between me and it is the doctor's surgery at the bottom of my road... should I be worried?

What a pity, but I'll have to buy the grey cable-knit jumper when I go to London. I just wanted to order it but it would be 20.00 pounds !! for the delivery to Germany, i.e. one third of the sales price.

Only that March isn't exactly the right time for warm jumpers you need NOW!

Re: You know you're obsessed with Sherlock when...

Well, you all told me how cold it was in March, didn't you (regarding the pneumonia and slipping on ice thing)? And it's cotton, not wool, after all. Just the right thing for a cool and sunny day in spring, to be worn instead of a jacket with a nice blue scarf, walking along North Gower Street …

Maybe it's just the "thudding and fainting floor". Full of mattresses.

Exactly what we need. I love this pic, Tobe, although I get some creepy feelings.

Re: You know you're obsessed with Sherlock when...

Hello everyone! I'm new here, and I have a few of my own reasons to be obsessed with Sherlock:
- When you actually go to a mall or store and yell "Vatican Cameos" and watch for a reaction
- When your dream house is actually a flat on Baker street
- When you just spent two days reading all 89 pages of this thread, and enjoyed every moment
- After which you immediately made an account and posted on said thread......(hint hint, it was me)
Anyways, I hope I can come up with more soon!

Re: You know you're obsessed with Sherlock when...

Fabulous reasons Moriarty.

Here's another one:
When you know you're going to take up the violin again in the new year...

You remember it all in painful annoy-o-vision:

The chin-rest that dug in.
The shoulder rest that cut into your collar bone.
The rosin getting under your fingernails.
Calling the instrument 'you ███████ useless piece of ████!' (in the middle of the night might I add.)
The hours you spent just learning how to hold the bow.
The teacher muting your violin until you got the hang of anything.
Glaring at sheet music, willing it to make sense...

And then you re-watch the past episodes where the violin makes an appearance and you smile. It will be worth it.

Re: You know you're obsessed with Sherlock when...

But knowing that you will continue just because you want to be like Sherlock...
then wondering if Benedict can actually play violin in 'real life'.....i doubt it..

He takes lessons for the series and apparently is doing very well.

Re: You know you're obsessed with Sherlock when...

Really cool, I can tell that he had improved by the end of the series because in the beginning the music from his violin and the movement of the bow were not matched
