... when the very thought that you're going to watch a Sherlock episode tonight makes you giddy.

I know that all too well! I remember I had to go back to school between finishing series 2 at the beginning of January and then had to wait until my break in March to start series 3. I swear I was shaking in my seat for the first fifteen minutes of TEH.

Poor you! That is truly shocking, Yitzock!

I know the feeling! And, ouch, that's a rough wait!

Well, it's not as long as fans who watched it when it first broadcast had to wait, but it was tough. I was downing so much fic and watching a lot of videos of my favourite scenes over and over while I was waiting. This is what happens when you watch a show as a family, you have to wait until you're together again to finish it. I had to wait between TSOT and HLV also, because we watched the former on my last day of my break in March, and it was not until the end of April that I was home again and we watched HLV (and then a few days later I joined this forum).
Now you know my story.

Indeed. I guess none of us had any idea what would happen when we decided - for whatever reasons - to watch the first episode of Sherlock...

In a way I knew... but I had no idea. I was so scared to watch the show for fear of getting obsessed... and look at me now!
I couldn't have joined a better cult though!

Before I watched the show, I knew it was really popular, but I didn't know whether I would become this obsessed too. But I did.

That's so true.
Yesterday I read an article in a magazine about London. Two artists developed an acrobatic program with the title "Bromance" (sorry for that word) which represents circumstances in male relationships. And the first thing I could think of was... Sherlock!

I knew the show was popular, too, and I already knew about the "CumberBitches". But I was sure I'd be immune to all of that.
gently, what a great find.

Resistance is futile.

I had seen Benedict in a couple movies, but it wasn't until The Imitation Game and Sherlock that I really appreciated how good of an actor he was...or how attractive. I used to be indifferent and now, well...

No need to continue, we know how you feel.
Repeat after me: Hi, my name is Yitzock and I've been a bad girl now for....( insert)
Hi, Yitzock!

I had barely heard of Benedict when it was announced that he would be the villian in STID. As a life long Trekie I was interested in knowing more. A friend of mine said to me the immortal words "Oh, he's in this show called Sherlock. It's good. You should watch it." And the rest is history.
I'm always telling that friend it's her fault I got obsessed.

As a life long Trekkie I was more than sceptical about him being the villain, because in another forum some girls were totally crazy for him and posted pics and I was just like "Oh, please, go away and don't you little fangirls squeak when I'm watching STID at the cinema!".

I totally relate Solar! Man, were we in for a surprise!
