Alistair Petrie

I couldn't find a thread for Alistair Petrie (James Sholto), so here goes.   He seems to have a pretty good career, always cropping up in various things, and I believe has appeared at Sherlocked USA, but I'm particularly enjoying him at the moment in the Netflix series Sex Education.   It's a great part, and he is so funny!

This interview is from last year, and I think Sex Education must be the Netflix project he mentions at the end.  He has some nice things to say about Sherlock .

Re: Alistair Petrie

I'm glad he thinks of Sherlock fans in a positive way, considering there have been a few negative moments amid all the fun.
I had forgotten that he was in The Night Manager (although I can't remember if I noticed him or whether this is the first time I'm reading/seeing that he was in that series, too).
Some interesting photos accompanying that interview, too. Interesting shadow play.

Clueing for looks.

Re: Alistair Petrie

I now remember him being in the Night Manager, since you mention it...
there were at least 2 Sherlockian actors in, Russell Tovey being the other one...
Have I forgotten anyone else?!

Re: Alistair Petrie

Yes, I remember him in The Night Manager, but had forgotten Russell Tovey, although I would have noticed him at the time!   Wasn't Jonathan Aris in it too?  He is always popping up in things, constantly in work.  It's nice to see them all so successful, although I'm sure they were successful before - I just didn't notice them until Sherlock!

Yes, I liked Alistair Petrie's comments about fans.  Looks like he enjoyed the Sherlocked convention!

Sex Education is good fun.  He plays the headmaster at the school, and steals every scene he's in.

My thoughts entirely, Liberty.
Jonanthan appears in everything!
EDIT:  just checked Jonathan's IMDb...yes, he was!

Re: Alistair Petrie

He has a long list of films, but I haven't seen them. Except for Rogue One and the first episode of Deep State (not my kind of show)
He is also a really funny guy in person. I was surprised. A tall, skinny and funny redhead.

And he's damn tough :D
