When John is talking to his therapist at the beginning, and she mentions 'his friend' meaning Sherlock, she says Do I remind you of your friend?

Yes... upon second viewing and realizing the connection, I laughed when she said that too. All because she commented to John on the difference of 'looking away' and 'looking to' something, and how she 'notices things like that'.
