Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Setlock makes us even more excited...hence all of the wild speculations.
It's always interesting to see which come to fruition and which face plant like Sherlock in a sheet!

Oh, was the wedding speech canonical?
Remains the only best man's speech worth listening to.

I mentioned it in the wedding thread: some of the words and phrases ("sentiment or caprice", etc.), seemed to me to have been taken from The Blanched Soldier.

Very detailed report on places from Students Union used when filming Sherlock:

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Sorry, I'm laughing to myself about the Cardiff uni location...
The biggest hassle they'll have is covering up all of the Welsh signs!

But hell: I've stayed in Llanharan, my hubby's pals used to live there!

But that's what I love about this fandom

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Well I wasn't going to say, but yes, sorry it did make me laugh...the immediate speculation and in the end it's a kitchen and a smiley face!
But glad that Arwel had a good day, anyway.

Why are you apologising? It was very funny!

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Because sometimes I find the only way to cope with some of the speculation is just to laugh...beats crying or screaming, anyhow!

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

I'm quite happy they are not in London anymore and the filming is more or less behind closed doors. There's less drama in the fandom.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

But they haven't done North Gower Street yet and I'm certain they will.
There will be hundreds there then, watching them.
Unless they really are going to avoid all of that altogether.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

I wonder if the team find a difference in situations:for instance the response they caused at Cardiff Uni or even Borough market, where they just kind of turned up to film and people were like stumbling across them...
Put that against North Gower St, here it really is an organised crowd, spectator sport..

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

I´m optimistic. They managed to make North Gower Str. just fine in the past, they would manage it just find even now, I believe.

It also comes to mind that they filmed Setlock on the Vauxhall Bridge right in London recently... and it went down well, or so it seemed.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

I'd be happy if they did just a tiny little bit of filming at an outdoor location when I'll be in London next week...
