I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

What is a recce bus?

And I said "dangerous" and here you are.

You. It's always you. John Watson, you keep me right.

Why the AMERICAN Mother's Day?
Recce is short for reconnaissance.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Probably because she's in Canada (judging from the tweet), and she's American herself, I believe.   Maybe she got to have two if she was over here in March!

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Just a thought, I've had a look at the short stories that Doyle had written and that have been hinted at in the series.
From the look of it, it only leaves us with 20 original stories (I may have miscounted, though)...but I've every faith that TPTB will have many more ideas to continue on Holmes and Watson's adventures!

If an element of the original story was used in an episode, that doesn´t mean some other element of the same story cannot be used again in another episode. The elements taken from "Sign of four" were used in four episodes thus far and judging from Setlock (the chase with the dog Toby), more elements from that will be used in the future.

And then there are famous pastiches and famous movie adaptations that offer plenty of new ideas....

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Thank you for your quick response, nakahara and pardon my late reaction.
I am aware that elements of the same stories can be used in different episodes, I had a terrible second of doubt that prompted me to share this. I am however happy to know that you share the view the writers will not be stopped any time soon

Well it takes them a decade between each series anyway!
