It's no doubt it's Amanda to me.
Doesn't look that much different to her wedding hair, for me...

Even Sherlock Holmes cuts his hair sometimes.

Amanda retweeted the picture, so I also think it's here.
I appreciate a new hair do for Mary.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

I find it interesting that her hair is considerably longer than at the end of HLV which suggests either a forward leap in time (which does not really work because of Moriarty, etc.) or a flashback to how she and John met.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Interesting.  I also think a forward leap doesn't work with a very young baby - I don't think Mary's hair would have grown that much in a matter of weeks.  Although there could be flashbacks within the episode (following a flash forward!).

Or maybe extensions for a special occasion?

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Not sure if I like this new hairdo on John. Bit too long for him, IMHO:

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Yeah, I really hope that's not his new hairdo either. Wouldn't make sense either, as it would be a huge continuity error from HLV/TAB. (Assuming they continue straight after the ending of TAB, that is).

Of course, the pic could be before hair and make-up, or after shooting was done.

I like Martins "John hair". Like I said, people tend to change their hair from time to time, would be weird if they look the same for 20 years.

No spoiling here - it´s good to know this was a little bluff.

Ah, I'm glad it was an old pic. His hair seemed too short.

Oh my, they don't give us anything except backs, do they?

That´s true, still, long hair looks to me a bit too flamboyant on him. The shorter cut was a bit more "soldierly" and thus fitting to John´s character in my eyes.
