It could be a philodendron, which is poisonous, although I don't know if it's deadly. A lot of houseplants are poisonous. I have a cat who loves to chew plants, so plants have to be carefully vetted before they're allowed in the house.

So... I asked my mum, since she's got a thing for plants and flowers...
She thinks it looks like a deflowered 'Flamingo Flower' or Anthurium. It's flower has a very phallic look..

Oh that's interesting on the plants . I know a lot of those are poisonous to cats , I had to dig up and kill some lillies once because of a neighbours cats kittens attraction to them .
I wonder if Molly's cats are ok ? Maybe that's the - not a joke Sherlock -the case of her poisoned cat. 
I do wish people wouldn't send mean stuff to the actual actors and writers. I know it's only a tiny percentage of the fandom but still 
manners maketh man. The Dr Who and other fandoms also have their complainers too though so it's not just Sherlock. AA may need a thick skin for tumblr or steer clear. I hope she doesn't take things about Mary to be about herself though. 
I don't like Mary but I do admire the way AA played her. Mary probably wearing the poison ring / assassins ring all along is funny . I really hope it gets a mention. 
At a Lucreatia Borgia style dinner party perhaps.
