Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

I don't think reading the story will be spoiling much, judging by how they've adapted other stories.  It might lull us into a false sense of thinking we know what's going to happen, though!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the main thrust of what Sherlock is doing extracting a confession rather than deducing the killer?  He already knows who's done it in the story, doesn't he? (I'll have to check up on that).   The same thing could happen in S4 (faking an illness to extract a confession) or it could be something different - like Sherlock being the original victim for instance.  And there's still the children's ward (which could be mind palace) to think about.

Filming ensues on Charles Street in Cardiff, so it seems:

And some speculations about The Trained Cormorant sign:

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

They are setting up Christmas lights

And next to the lights, something bizarre appears:

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

This. Is. Amazing. I wonder which Christmas it will be. A flashback to HLV?

Ok.  I know this is silly but I am laughing my ass off.
It just so happens that The Eagle, is a famous leather Daddy gay bar in Atlanta.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Now we have Christmas lights & wet street effects. Maybe rain, too?

Edit: and smoke effects, plus a fire engine was spotted as well.

Could this scene be a continuation of the rainy night scene they did earlier outside 221b? Supposedly this street (the street they're pretending it is, anyway) exists nearby Baker Street in reality.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

After looking at the photos I'd just like to point out these are not necessarily Christmas lights.  Many urban areas with nightclubs and restaurants use these kind of white lights for ambiance.

Have we spotted anything that might look Christmas like other than the white lights?  Has anyone tweeted anything about Christmas or Holidays?

From Twitter just now:

"Drama at #setlock A drunk guy just ran towards Cumberbach! Security took him down and police came! Where is Lestrade when you need him!?"

Oh my...

Heck that's a tad scary, poor Benedict.
Glad security got the guy.

Downside of being famous, I guess.
I hope nobody was hurt and everything will turn out all right.

@tonnaree, that made me laugh!

You are right, tonnaree. Someone from Cardiff confirmed that it is no special Christmas decoration.
