The Abominable Bride (for those who have seen it)

Today is the day! Good opportunity to open a thread in which to discuss the The Abominable Bride. As the title implies, everyone who has not watched it yet and is afraid of spoilers should keep away until they have watched it. Have fun!

Re: The Abominable Bride (for those who have seen it)

I am actually crying right now.  I have no idea when I'm going to be able to make a proper comment!

But clever. Oh so clever! Too clever even...

I'm quite confused but I loved it.

This does say "for those who have seen it" so technically we can discuss the major spoilers in here.

Re: The Abominable Bride (for those who have seen it)

So, firstly....IT WAS AMAZING.

Secondly...I feel like I need some time for my head to stop buzzing before I can actually discuss it in depth and in detail, although I feel as though there will be much to discuss when that finally happens.

Thirdly...I need to watch it like, ten more times, at least.

Re: The Abominable Bride (for those who have seen it)

So I assume I'm not the only one completely clueless of what is going on?
Because that happened to me too when I first watched HLV and I thought it was because my English's not very good.

WHAT THE HELL HAVE WE BEEN JUST WATCHING?!?!

Re: The Abominable Bride (for those who have seen it)

Why don't you two just elope, for God's sake?

So it would seem, and I guess that's why I am crying right now.

... but there may be some new players now. It’s okay. The East Wind takes us all in the end.

Re: The Abominable Bride (for those who have seen it)

That elope line killed me. I'm officially a real johnlocker now.

But Sherlock using again... it broke my heart severely. I didn't expect to cry!

I don't mean to sound all clever but all along I had a theory it took place in Sherlocks head so I tried to find the small clues... There were a small number... when Mycroft  (loved the fatsuit) pointed out Sherlocks use of 'crime scene' I was convinced... but after some of the several twists I was doubting myself. Clever writing!

How am I going to sleep??

Re: The Abominable Bride (for those who have seen it)

I practically screamed when I finally recognised the coroner! Although I did have a funny feeling who the pointy hats were once we could see them.  So very clever but I do feel a bit sorry for anyone coming to Sherlock for the first time. I recommended tonight's Special to a friend on the strength of it being Victorian, as she hasn't watched the first three seasons - a bit too modern for her - I just know when I see her on Tuesday she's going to be going "Huh&%$$&*(^%^&?>>????" at me. Sorry, Anne ...
Aaaaaaaaaaaanyway, I'm glad it segueded into season 4. More lovely 'what if's' until setlock in the spring. I hope ...
