Hello fellow Sherlockians,

this is an open invite at each and any of you to come join us over at the BBC Sherlock book club over at LJ.

What do we do?

On a regular basis we engage in a bout of reading Sherlock BBC fic which are nominated and chosen by nominations from members of the community. You can spend several weeks digging into one story, or hop between two or three new stories every week – whatever your preferred mode of engagement, there will be people to talk to! 

If the fic you nominated is chosen, then you will be responsible for "launching" discussion of that story: that is, when the time comes to open discussion on that story, you will make the post to start the discussion (which will unfold in comments on your original post), and offer some initial thoughts/questions to get the conversation going. That sounds way more daunting than it is. After all, you wouldn't nominate a story if you didn't want to talk about it. And once the discussion is launched you'll have the chance to happily interact with other enthusiasts.

The fic discussions will be locked to prevent trolling and protect the privacy of the participants, but the community itself is open. It would be lovely if more people joined the comm.
