Re: Benedict and Sophie thread

Never seen him this casual on a premiere. They both look amazing!

Re: Benedict and Sophie thread

I love what both of them are wearing! A bit more casual that on some other red carpets but still very nice.

Re: Benedict and Sophie thread

They look absolutely stunning - they deserve each other, both incredibly beautiful and stylish in their own way.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

It suits them immensely in this light.

Russell, that picture of Sophie and Ben with Allen Leech and Charlie Webster is a favourite of mine.

And I think you are right about them balancing each other perfectly.   It's that way with my hubby and myself - except I'm the effervescent one and Dan is my calming influence.  That is of course a generalization but still there is a lot of truth in it.

I know!  Love it!  I just found it interesting that Ben varies with his demeanor/'being-photographed' look, being pretty energetic, but Sophie's one of those who always keeps a carefully poised look, so calm/collected (which probably reflects her)… even in something casual like a selfie.  That's why I thought that one Oscars pic where she laughs was so neat… one of my other favorite actresses, Pauley Perrette is also like that.  A bit 'looser' in casual pictures, but also typically poised and closed-mouth smile on the red carpet.  I imagine when you do events like that, you keep yourself to a certain 'look' for the camera… at least I would.
Still gives a neat balance to the two of them, though… not to mention, holy wow, thanks for those pics, they look amazing together as usual!  And matching again, of course!

(re: the buckle… probably the light?  ooh!  that just made me think… he looks so good all in dark, and Sophie matching with dark, but mixing with light, and.. .hey, it's Star Wars, they're giving a playful nod to being Dark and Light!  She would be his Light side, after all)

Just this morning you were all tiny and small and made of clay!

I'm working my way up the greasy pole.  It's… very greasy.  And…  pole-shaped.

Re: Benedict and Sophie thread

The light is my conclusion as well after seeing some photos where the buckle looks red and others where it doesn't.

I laughed at the sign about going there just to see Benedict. I wonder how they knew he would be there.

Re: Benedict and Sophie thread

Ivy, I figured there had to be some source confirming it, but I guess I was not aware of it. lol Thanks.

And I noticed with the photos from the premiere, Benedict does the same thing with his glasses that my dad does (though usually he does that with sunglasses), ha ha.  I remember in one long interview (I now forget what it was for, but it was this summer I think), where Benedict added sound effects to what he was talking about a few times - which my dad and others in my family do (my mum and I, specifically).  Benedict is also good at impressions, like my dad. I know it's all coincidence (and Benedict and my dad look nothing alike, apart from a few photos where Benedict's hair is the same as my dad's, but Benedict doesn't look like that very often), but I still find it kind of funny.  Oh my, a simple remark I was going to make became a longer paragraph.  Oops.  Sorry for derailing from the topic.

Re: Benedict and Sophie thread

Thank you, Val, for your reassurance.  I also couldn't help but chuckle at your remarks about how you got your Dan to do the same thing with his glasses.

Re: Benedict and Sophie thread

Or possibly they just find stuff the like to wear, so why get rid of it?!
Anyhow, continuing in my grinch mode...
It's obviously just me, but I actually find the 'we're here for Benedict' sign very offensive to the Star Wars team.

Lovely, anyway.
