Re: Hamlet at the Barbican - contains spoilers about the production

"Almost," Phantom?
OK, sorry, I won't tease you

And yeah, he does look pretty good, if not a bit tired since he's busy these days.

Clueing for looks.

Re: Hamlet at the Barbican - contains spoilers about the production

Oh that 'almost' wasn't about the play or Benedict... but what it took me to get there...

The play was the most amazing experience in my life! That award was so well deserved!!

I'm happy about that. They really (he really) deserved it.

Wow, it seems also some other familiar faces were awarded by WOS:

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Hamlet at the Barbican - contains spoilers about the production

Oh my.
I have only just had the chance to watch Benedict's acceptance speech.
I love hearing him speak about his work, he is fantastic.
What a lovely acceptance speech and I suspect better for him being absent from the event.
What a lovely man.
Anybody else nearly sobbing?!

Really wonderful. Funny, moving, wordy as ever. The remark about bringing the baby to bed after work was lovely.

OMG    I don't know how they managed it but Hamlet is up on Youtube!  Don't know if/when it will be taken down but I'm going to take advantage of it while it's there!

I'll try to download it from there later, if it's still online.

Thanks for finding/posting.

Re: Hamlet at the Barbican - contains spoilers about the production

I"m going to do the same.  And I don't feel bad about doing it either.  It's not like I didn't pay to see it!
Bless his soul, Benedict may have to have a separate account for all the money I've given him.

No problem, would have been nice. Who knows if I would have ever watched it anyway.

Re: Hamlet at the Barbican - contains spoilers about the production

Aw, man.  Too bad I wasn't online earlier (my computer battery was dead and I had class at 10:00 so I didn't plug it in before I left).  I would have loved to download a copy since I want to watch it again after seeing it at the cinema.  Maybe one day it will appear again - this has happened with copies of plays before that were uploaded to YouTube.
