Edible Benedict

Benedict Cumberbatch gets lifesize statue made of chocolate

Not quite as lifelike as the wax figure at Madame Tussaud's, but definitely yummier!

I wouldn't mind that instead of an Easter egg...

So now the fans can ideed feast on his "yumminess"....

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Edible Benedict

Hello thread, I've found you *winks at tonnaree*

I cannot decide which part I would eat first. I think I would nibble the feet first, then continue upwards...
Or keep with the habit and bite the ears of first? - which is what I usually do with Goldhasen.

Re: Edible Benedict

...Does it strike anyone else as a bit creepy?

Re: Edible Benedict

Yes, the whole effigy in chocolate is "a bit creepy" to me as well.  I know it is all in fun and I LOVE chocolate (and BC) but there is a "hmm factor" that struck me when I first saw this online.

Can't explain it further than that.  Maybe it is just you have to "get" or not - and I just don't "get" it.

Re: Edible Benedict

I have to admit, if I was actually offered a piece of it, I would feel weird eating it.

also because it's on display in a store and I guess people could have groped it.

Re: Edible Benedict

How would Benedict feel about it? Creepier from his side of it, I bet.

Oh dear... I guess it was never meant to last forever, but Benedict without a nose, and missing fingers too? Not a good look.

Re: Edible Benedict

That's just disturbing...

Honestly... I know I'm a germaphobe but I find it so gross.

Creepy, indeed.
Yet bound to happen, I suppose.

Re: Edible Benedict

I am seriously surprised how long it took to get out of hand.
