The armchairs are closer together compaired to the Rising Tide, but John and Sherlock wear the same outfits (Sherlock switched his jacket for the camel robe).
It does make sense that only John and Sherlock are looking at us in this shot, but why is Molly also looking at us?? I don't like one bit that Molly starts with an "M" just like Mary, Magnussen, Mycroft and Moriarty.

Also, what's that behind Mrs Hudson's head? It wasn't there in the Rising Tide picture...

There is such an air of strangeness to all these promo photos.

Well, on this one people seem to be alive. Couldn't say the same about the Rising Tide picture.

Holy crap that promo pic is giving me chills and a sense of eeriness... but also joy to see the whole gang togethor

Oh, and did anybody find what link that picture came from? Did it come with the yellow numbers already on it?

Never mind! Found the link.

The picture's a bit small for me to see with my terrible eyesight, but John looks all out of proportion, as if he's been photoshopped in. I don't want to sink the depths of buying a Daily Mail to get a closer look!
I had another thought about the birth announcement in the Telegraph. The dates are all wrong, but I wondered if it was simply due to the fact that they have released a clip with Rosie's name in it and wanted the announcement before that. It's just part of the surreal timeline of the fictional world, and she might not actually have been born before Christmas at all. I suppose we will find out about the timing fairly early in TST.

Somehow it is always John who is holding the baby in the promo pics.

And in setlock too.

Isn't that the knife in the unopened correspondence?
It's another strange promo pic... it all seems so gothic. I'm sure there is something about where they are looking too.
Mary's hand thing is very interesting too. Is it supposed to remind us of the earlier times she stood like that? Or is it a nervous thing for her? (Personally when I'm nervous I wring my hands and wrap my legs around the leg of the chair I'm sitting on...)

They look as if they are going to a funeral.

I absolutely fail to read the expression on Molly's face. What do you make of it?

Someone did some amazing closeups of their faces!
I read some sour, sad regrets... but that's just me

It's not just you. I think she looks angry and sad somehow.

I think she looks a bit ashamed as well.

That's actually very similar!
The knife on the mantle has been there since ASiP... but I don't think that was a butterfly knife??
Offline
Yep, the knife has been there for a while.
I was wondering about the halo behind Mrs Hudson's head, but in the hi-res picture it's obviously just her hair (highlighted way more than teh ambient light would provide for! ;) )

Loo looks amazing here.
But the picture makes me think that maybe Molly's secret is connected to the Thatchers.

Just as an aside - I love the aesthetics of those promo pics. Dark, yes, but so beautiful and carefully composed. Like paintings, they are real works of art.
