It's pretty nice here for the most part, with a great group…
That's definitely true. It's a great place to be, with so many intelligent, funny and interesting people.
Right, that can't be stressed often enough. What we are doing here in this thread is what we call "Jammern auf hohem Niveau." (complaining on a high comfort level?)

The anonymity is an interesting one.
It's a common theme I've noticed on every Sherlock forum I've belonged to...people don't(generally) use their (full)real names or post selfies...so I don't!
I find it odd.
On both Facebook and Twitter I use my real name and picture.
I have absolutely nothing to hide and am only happy to defend my views.
I have met a few people from here already and would love to meet more.
But yes, you do need to know when to go to work or bed!

We are all very lucky to have this place. I have been lucky in my internet life to have been a part of two very very fun and intellegant forums. They have truly spoiled me for most of the rest. Just trying to take part in the discusions at your average news forum can be hell with the trolling and the out right ignorance and hate. *shaking my head*
Haven't had the pleasure of meeting anyone from here yet but there's always hope! And I do have some of you on my Facebook now. Anyone who wants to look me up there feel free.

Well, I see that as a common trait to most forums. Being careful with your info on the internet and all that. On FB, you can limit your profile to friends, and even there, I don't put too much personal data. But yes, it also does give way to that double-edged sword of the Internet we were discussing. It's hardly a big deal for internet friends/forum-ites to know I'm Emily, a thirty-something from Ohio, but it also doesn't seem to matter, either, in just enjoying the fun of a good place like this. (speaking of… tonnaree… oi vey, news forums… that's a whole other beast!)

My forum history before BBC Sherlock is:
1. Christian
2. Socialist
3. Atheist
Guess which saw the nastiest argument?!

I met my husband at smartasses.org, it was one of the best places on the whole internet.
At Smartasses Online the emphasis was always on the Smart rather than the Ass.
