I drove at night on the motorway. I heard music from (music) tape. After the last song I pushed the button to drop out the tape. Unfortunately the tape jumped out of the recorder and landed anywhere in the footwell area. But there were lots of other tapes! But without looking I found quickly my lost tape. How?

It's ages since I've played a tape in the car! I'd guess the tape would be warm if it had played to the last song, whereas the other tapes would be cold?
