I think Sherlock Holmes made a valid point earlier by saying that a relationship between Molly and Lestrade could be shown in an unobtrusive way in connection with a case. It wouldn't take center stage, but it could still be there without being cheesy. But of course, for fans who don't want to see this at all, not under any circumstances, Mofftiss could do whatever they wanted to, it just wouldn't work for those fans.
As i said before, i'd be OK with anything is well written and well plotted.
But once again, if Molly and Lestrade were dating, and the main work for the writers is to make this romance unobtrusive for the show, well...maybe better that they don't date at all, no ?
That's for every viewer to decide. You might think it to be redundant, someone else might think it's a charming interjection that doesn't do any harm but adds something human to the show.

Johnlock.
I will sail this ship to the gates of hell while dancing naked round the main mast tossing confetti.

That wasn't the question, tonnaree. Sorry, joke ...

Well Susi, I am very aggressive.

Can I ask where did these "Official Society of Aggressive Johnlockers" signatures come from? I've noticed a few of you have them now....Is this a club you've all formed? I don't often check the Johnlock threads....

Oh, it came up as a joke when tonnaree declared herself president of this society. Just a bit of fun. Nothing secret or exclusive. Anyone can join if they wish to.

It's just for fun. Everybody that is convinced of Johnlock and wants to show it can copy the pic and join. That's how I understood it.

Oops, too late.

Exactly. That is all.

The only requirement is aggressivness.

And your aggressivness definitely is the best, tonnaree.

But you might also form a splinter group if you prefer

But at the next election that splinter group will fail at the five percent threshold.

Haha, I like it. It's a catchy name. I'm afraid I don't really ship Johnlock aggressively enough.

Then start some "Vaguely Committed and Desultory Johnlock Affiliate Group"

That's why I'm the president.

Ok, I'm gonna be the black sheep here, but other than Johnlock, I ship Morson, Hudarty, whatever you call it. Moriarty & Mrs Hudson, that's it.
Nah, just kidding, though i'm still gonna be the black sheep once I have told you who I really ship...
I ship Holmescest. Yeah. Right. Holmescest. I said it.
Now give me a chance to explain myself, huh?
Here you are:
Mycroft has become throughout the seasons my favourite character (though Sherlock is very close)
As I like ships that include my favourite character (and male/male ships), I logically gave a try to Mystrade, but it just didn't work for me. I have nothing against it, and I've read some good Mystrade fanfics or seen nice videos, but I don't know, I just don't think Lestrade would be the one for Mycroft, plus they barely interact during the show (THOB and HLV prove they are connected in some way, but we hardly get to see it, except when Lestrade is looking for Sherlock in HLV)
Actually, I think the only person who would be a good match for Mycroft is Sherlock. They have so much in common, and yet they are different.
Sherlock needs Mycroft, but not as much as Mycroft needs him. He has friends. Mycroft is lonely.
I'm completely obsessed by their relationship which I find very complex and interesting. I love the tension between them and the constant bickering, but I also love how much they care for each other, even though they wouldn't admit it (except the "Your loss would break my heart" in HLV which earned me a fangirl's nosebleed )
The thing is, there aren't that many fanfics which are only focused on their relationship (I've written a couple myself, in the pure brotherly way, and made some videos too) and I always need more of them.
So the next logical step was to jump right into Holmescest.
And God I've read some excellent fanfics about them. I particularly enjoy the ones which explore their past (ie. teenage Sherlock wants to experiment everything including kissing just for "science's sake" and asks Mycroft to teach him, or they have an ambiguous relationship until Mycroft leaves for uni and Sherlock falls into depression and drugs) or those in which Sherlock turns to Mycroft every time he needs to be comforted (after the fall, after John's wedding...)
Their love/hate relationship is so interesting I actually tend to forget their familial bond.
Obviously, I know this will never happen on screen (And I DON'T want this to happen anyway: I was already delighted by the Operation & deductions games, the "Don't appal me when I'm high" scene which I find kinda hot --yeah, i'm that weird-- the "your loss would break my heart" one, and Mycroft's face when he says "Oh sherlock, what have you done?". I do not lose hope for Johnlock to become canon though, hehe!) and I absolutely don't support incest in real life, but each to their fantasies, right?
And I hope you won't judge me because of this one.

This is just a bit of fun, right?!
Cos, really?
Jim is gorgeous and who wouldn't fancy him?!
But Martha would never forgive him for hurting both John and Sherlock.
