Say, is there going to be any live chatting going on in the German spoiler chatroom today while the episode airs? Or afterwards?

While the episode is airing I prefer full attention and enjoyment. Afterwards it will be bedtime for me.

Same with me. I can't fully concentrate on the episode while writing, chatting, whatsapping or even talking. I might miss something!

Similar here. Even though I guess I will stay up a little longer. But I realised the two times before I wasn't that talkative after the show either.

I really prefer to write in here. I am not a big fan of the chat. Not my medium, it seems.
But I think I will come here after the airing.

Gosh, I really love my family...
Got the DVD from amazon Saturday and bingewatched TSoT and HLV today. And believe me I said nothing beforehand because I wanted hubby and the children to develop their own view. When Mary run after John into the drug den my daughter went: " will she always be running after them now?" I said "don't you like that?" " no..."
Then there was the Christmas scene at the Holmes home and when she produced her belly after snarking at John hubby said in a mocking voice: " will the baby help solving the crimes now, too...?"
Love them, now I can discuss my views!

Wonderful family, mrshouse.
When I watched TSoT and HLV with my boyfriend on saturday (he also saw it for the first time then) he said that Mary would make a good addition to the team and that he thinks she did what she did because she loves John so much. Well... we had a little discussion then...

LOL, yeah, I can imagine that, Solar...
And better: my daughter later on said something like " I don't like she seems to take everything over now!" And hubby went :" Well, what next? The three of them going on vacation in a family hotel next season? What about cases, then, Moriarty parking a car wrongly and Mary being the only one to help out?"
Lol...

Jesus, the Baker Street scene! I don't know why, but it somehow felt much more emotional to me in the German version. Great dubbing so far!

Re: Sein letzter Schwur (HLV), German TV ARD, June 9, 2014

Since they switched to saying "Du" there have been several moments so far that felt more emotional and intimate to me than in the original version. It's kind of absurd, really, but it's almost as if everything has a lot more meaning all of a sudden.

Well it's different when you heare something in your mother language I suppose.

The airport scene also worked better for me at the dubbed version.

Re: Sein letzter Schwur (HLV), German TV ARD, June 9, 2014

No, that's not it. I heard S1 and S2 in German, as well, and it wasn't even close to being that emotional and intimate. It has to do with the "Du", definitely, and I guess that changed the whole dynamic in a way that just can't happen in the original version because there you simply don't have such a change.

Re: Sein letzter Schwur (HLV), German TV ARD, June 9, 2014

Well, the du definitely changed something, but nevertheless I prefer the original version. Also emotionally. Didn't catch me that much in German tbh.

Re: Sein letzter Schwur (HLV), German TV ARD, June 9, 2014

Well it is more intimate now, but I still find the original more intimate...

What I found strange is Sherlock and Molly with Sie even it Sherlock's mind palace...

Btw John should use Du on Mycroft too, because he uses his first name and it feels like du in the original...

Didn't like the voice of CAM and Wiggings...

And the change of Tempus with the "did you miss me?" was bit strange.

The rest was really quite good .

gently, I guess when it comes down to it, we all prefer the original version. It works much better on so many levels.

Yeees solar .

But I really need to admit, that the dubbing was so much better on this season.

Btw, I laughed so hard when John said something along the lines of "Da sind 'ne Menge Junkies drin, kann doch sein, dass einer von denen 'nen Platten hat."
