Why am I not surprised...?

Very appetising.

Not a Johnlock-y quote, but a brilliant one nevertheless. Comes from "All the best and brightest creatures". Sherlock is musing about the way DI Dimmock looks:
It's maddening. Sherlock could simply take Dimmock's head in his hands, remold it, and explain to God where he went wrong.

Now that's the Sherlock we all know and love! LOL

Hahaha, I envy lines like that.

After reading "Albion and the Woodsman" I simply have to post some favourite quotes:
"Obviously it would have been far more beneficial for him to be breastfed but even I have my limits."
"Did you have sex?" "Do you people think I can cause immaculate conception?"
"Mycroft was smiling sincerely, which I'd not seen him do since August 1983."
"What I wanted to say is that I would be happy living with John Watson and Albion in a cardboard box in a glue factory in a cold despotic country without heating, but those kinds of desperate declarations are embarrassing."
"Well, if any of you have ever wondered if I'm circumcised, you'll find out in the next fifteen seconds when I get out of the bath."

The quote about Mycroft is just hilarious!

Ok. In response to those quotes I am moving this story to the top of my "read next" list.

Nature and Nurture, my favourites Part 1
(First word) And then Oliver, still in Sherlock’s arms, said, quite distinctly, “Dead.”
(Teething) John succeeded in getting a finger against Oliver’s gums as he opened his mouth to wail further displeasure, and Oliver stopped mid-wail, looking surprised and then cautiously optimistic. His grip on John loosened a little bit, and he took a couple of shaky breaths and then blinked between the two of them, looking thoroughly miserable.
“Sorry, love,” John told him, and kissed his head. “It’ll be over soon, I promise.”
“Over soon?” Sherlock echoed. “As if he’s only going to have one tooth?”
Sherlock rolled away from him and John stretched and smiled and said, “Did you just get me sex for Christmas?”
“Not just any sex. Lazy morning sex.”
spoiler tag - what a lovely toy!The only thing John had got for Christmas was X-rated, John thought.

I don't normally read slash, overly cute, Sherlock's practically anorexic, and/or Sherlock's parents are abusive psychos fics, but I somehow got sucked into this Nature vs. Nurture fic. Halfway through (parents just showed up). Can't stop laughing. It started at "Mycroft accidentally cloned Sherlock!" and that was it.

Nature and Nurtuere is one of the best "parentlock" fics out there. I've heard many people say they enjoyed it even though they don't usually read parent fics.
"sodding fics" ! *giggle*

Full of Grace:
The Morning After"I can deny you nothing," he murmured, his head falling over mine once more, "and I am happy to indulge in your taste for theological studies. It's an ancient and lofty pursuit, after all. But if you'd like another round of David and Jonathan, you are going to have to give me ten minutes. I'm not sixteen years old."
A Man of Questionable Morals(For a particular reason) "We sat in silence, listening to the crackling fire and the little creaks and murmurs of the old brick structure. I wondered if I trusted my nonchalance to stand up and pour us two glasses of port, and decided to wait."
(For three particular reasons) " ... I do not know what you wish me to do when you parade about with three buttons of your shirt fastened like some green-carnationed lounger. And factor three," he added, turning his head slightly and unmistakably towards my lap, "it warms my heart you are already so very glad to see me."
