Strong...

What you call my strength,
Is what I name my weakness.
This smile on my lips;
All the times I've picked myself up,
When I was on the floor again.
You have never seen tears;
Never seen me curse...
Always that damned smile on my lips...
As I take on your sorrows;
Atop of my own,
Pushing away what ails me,
Because I am too weak;
To admit I am not as strong as you believe...

Please Be Safe

I hear myself heave sighs,
Everytime you tell me;
'Please be safe'.
I shake my head;
Sometimes even clench a fist...
Your feelings for me drive me up the wall,
And still here am I,
Doing the very same things...
That you annoy me with...
It's not that I hate you,
I care so much,
But your worrying...
Don't you see?
I have no clue how to react.
I was always on my own,
And not even I cared,
For myself...

Wrong!

A life of hearing everything I was;
Was wrong...
Growing slowly, slowly becoming myself...
It took years to find confidence;
To realize it is perfectly all right;
To be everything I am.
And I learned to laugh at that fight,
The struggle to beat the others;
At being a uniform mess of mass...
Yet that nagging bit of doubt,
It never seems to fully die...

Love Story

I met you in August,
You met me in September.
My heart whispered your name,
Yearned to know more;
To know you inside and out;
And at first I was the broken one,
In your arms I felt safe.
As you built me up;
From the bottom and up;
You allowed me to see you;
And I saw a broken man...
And with my finger on your lips,
I worked on letting you see;
The super man who saved a shattered girl.
I always say "You Saw me".
But the truth is; you heard me...
Oh this could have been a love story,
One for the books...

Angels...

This winter was so dark;
But I never noticed before tonight;
As the candles are lit,
Burning down slowly;
I see the long night outside.
Watching the man who spent;
An entire winter, carefully,
Restoring the wings of an angel...
A small thing that sat in his hand;
Viewing him as the angel;
He saw in her bright eyes.

Claimed

With an icy prick;
You pierced my heart,
Stilled it in the process,
Stealing my breath.
You claimed me,
Reminded me of what I forgot,
Where I belong.
I have run so far,
So fast, thought I was safe,
Here you are with a smirk,
Putting me in place.
One word, all it took;
And I crumbled.
Melting into you...
Crying to you,
That I shouldn't do this,
As you did it to me.

Why do you turn to those,
You know only mean you harm?
Do you think it's what you deserve,
Or is there a safety in knowing what you get?
You could have a chance,
I have seen your potential,
Now it's time for you to see;
The woman hiding in there.
I hear the strength in your heartbeat,
Remember first time it broke?
You thought it was the end,
And so you thought a million times,
And yet here you are...
Running out of cheeks to turn.

The Last Good Man

The last good man in the world.
And he couldn't see it.
Too blinded by heartbreak,
A life that threw him off the curb;
At every turn...
The road took his voice,
A woman stole his heart,
and threw it back in tatters.
The last good man,
He cried alone in the darkness,
Deciding love was not for him.
When he met a broken woman,
He set out to fix her;
And she fell hard.
For a girl like that;
Is always searching for the last good man...
And the broken woman,
Broken further from her heartache,
About to leave and slam the door;
Turned around and gave him one last chance,
Offering him to hold up a mirror;
To show him the last good man in the world...
For a girl like that is always willing to cling,
To the last good man.

That was never made for you.
So used to being kicked around;
That you chose to kick yourself.
You blame yourself for each demon;
Stuck inside you.

For Sale

I have danced with others,
Have smiled at more than a few,

As I slept with them,
I twirled for another man,
Told him what he wanted to hear...

This is actually about the triology about my original female character from my Sherlock fan fics...

Mira

She had a heart full of dreams,
Patched up, stitched over and over again,
But still beating a rhythm.
Her head was full of ideas,
So full she felt lightheaded,
But the wheels still churned.
One day she had enough,
One day she got tired...
She ran out of stitches,
To fix her heart ache.
She spread her wings,
She learned to fly,
How to soar so high...
She left a note on a kitchen table,
Thanking them for nothing,
And out of the door she ran.
Going for glory or bust...
Her ass got cracked,
On the pavement...
Plans failed, and that's how it goes.
Until someone lend her a hand,
The house was warm,
But the shackles were harsh.
But she stuck to what she knew..
Until she was let go...
Left to make a life for herself.
Normal, it didn't last long...
A stranger swept her off her feet in a bar,
Put her on the floor, told to lie still.
She became his living corpse...
She let him pick her apart,
Let him figure her out...
And she learned the truth about herself;
And what she left behind that day...
She left a note on the table.
And she was running again.
With nothing but a fur coat,
To keep her warm on winter nights...
Until cold hands grabbed her,
Offered her salvation or...
The devil had taken her tongue,
And that was where her story ended.

Allow me to fall apart.
