This is a lovely retrospective about Benedict's career so far. But be warned - I have no idea why they ended with the very negative voice of a TV critic whose name I have already forgotten and who thinks Benedict completely overrated. Stop at about 11 or 12 minutes when the word "TV critic" comes up and enjoy:
or here:

Yes I heard this yesterday and there was Twitter discussion about it.
Now is this just the Profile?
Because the programme after it reviewed IG and was quite negative.
And on one of them, they could neither pronounce Benedict Cumberbatch nor Meryl Streep!

I listened to the one on Soundcloud and it had ony the profile.
The critic's words are just ridiculous. Blaming Benedict for his large fanbase and turning his own annoyance at this on Benedict's skills as an actor. And making again fun of his name. To call this childish, would be an insult to children.
I really do not understand why they took such pains to describe his career, to visit the theare in his old school, talk to people who have worked with him over the years and who were full of praise and then at the end add this piece of trash.

So did this piece have the giggling fans? Sorry to say they irritated me a tad!
John Finnemore was lovley, though I thought the interviewer was a bit pushy with him.

Do you mean at the beginning? Yes, it did.
I just posted another link in the TIG thread for a really good radio interview (5Live with Simon Mayo) without all that annoying stuff.

Thank you, I saw that!

I just emailed my local cinema to try to persuade them into showing the Penguin movie in English...
seems I was wasting my time as my favourite cinema in the next city will ONLY be showing it in English! YAY!

I had a very random talk with my mum yesterday...
I had to get a new phone (because I dropped mine so the screen cracked... got frustrated and bit it so the screen was completely ruined...). I spent some time getting all my Sherlock tones and backgrounds back.
My mum wanted to see my phone and noticed the Sherlock background and said this:
"Wait, I'm confused... He looked older 10 years ago"...
The curls does make him look younger... my mum saw him in 'Parades End'... it's funny; she usually can't remember stuff from movies she has seen but since I got this addiction she keeps reminding me that she saw PE.

I think this isn't our business...

Well it isn't if it hasn't been officially announced. I have no idea, I have been on the computer for all of 30 mins and I was just resoponding to Mrs W, with an aspirational comment, which is totally acceptable.

Haven't watched it yet, but this should be very interesting: The Full Actors Roundtable with Benedict, Eddie Redmayne, Channing Tatum, Timothy Spall, Ethan Hawke and Michael Keaton:

I just wanted to open a new thread for the roundtable. Good that I came here first.
