Just watched the scene in TGG when John and Sherlock is at St Barts to examine Carl Powers shoes. And the amount of rainbow (thinking of the gay pride flag ;) ) reflections from the various glas objects in this scene is absurd !
Thought about it cuz I read on Tumblr a while ago about the rainbow reflections in the scene in TSOT when SH comes to Molly to talk about the stag night. There is a theory that that scene is the moment when Molly really realises that Sherlock is gay. Don't know if that's the case but I could'nt stop thinking about how easy those reflections could have been avoided...

Oh, interesting! Have to watch those again.
And I still wonder what Janine meant with "I know what kind of man you are."
Or the other similar quote at the wedding which I don't remember exactly right now.

"I wish you were'nt...what ever it is you are.
"I know"
Was that it?
Been thinking about that to. In my reading she means gay but one can never be certain
That waht makes the most sense to me...but I guess that depends on how you look at the show.

Interesting observations, indeed! And I think it's very well possible that Molly realizes in that scene that Sherlock is gay... or that he is in love with John. After all, the file on John he carries with him shows John as da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. That alone might be enough for Molly to realize what's going on.

Exactly my thought!
So could it be that the "color signs" were there from the start? I mean...they're using a hell of a lot of gay/bi coloring with the lighting throughout the show. Coincidence? What do we say about those?

I took some screen shots of the rainbow lighting...and this is not all of them

Sorry, not laughing at you, just laughing near you, but.... I sat here and smiled to myself when you said you were not into johnlock but then went on to describe John as Sherlock's heart. Yup, you got it, in one.

Yes. And it shows that Johnlock is not just about sex but about love which is also expressed in a sexual way.

I have to admit I haven´t thought about the mind palace specifically before, but your explanation sounds really good to me, it makes totally sense to me and it works very well either you´re into Johnlock or not.
Don't forget that it's super-uber-important to a lot of people that Sherlock be proven to be straight. There's a strong streak of homophobic-ness in a lot of the anti-johnlock stuff that's out there. They might like to put lipstick on that pig, as the saying goes, and backpedal and try to explain it other ways, but... some would rather eat glass than see their Sherlock and John in "that" kind of a relationship. Others would have a real problem seeing their actors in a clinch of any kind either. So there is that.

Sherlock thinks that John is the best part of him. Whether or not he would or could actually put that sentiment into so many words, I don't know, but I believe it. As he said in his wedding speech, Sherlock doesn't think much of himself, but whatever good surrounds him, it's because of John. One of the reasons I put this quote from Elementary in my sig line is because I think the words ring as true for our Sherlock and John as they do for Elementary's Sherlock and Joan.

What a wonderful sig line, AG!

You can be someone heart without being involved in a sexual relationship. But here i meant more that John through his frienship brings Sherlock to reconsider how to react emotionally to the world outside of his head and to do not reject its importance for him anymore.
For me it appeals more a true friendship without egoismus bondaries and conditions, because is just far seldom than a hetero or homo relationship, both in films as in the real life.

Just found this one. I don't even know what I'm doing here before breakfast, but well... there you are:
This video is so beautifully and tightly edited, it stripped TSoT right down to its emotional bare bones essence for all to see.
It was always there but somewhat obfuscated by other plot elements. There's no mistaking it here. Mrs. Hudson's voice over at the very end was perfection. "So sad..."

Thanks. When I heard Joan Watson say it to her Sherlock, naturally I put the words right into my own version of John Watson. I don't think "our" John could or would ever be as articulate as that, but in my own personal 'verse, he certainly would believe it. Makes me happy to think he would anyway.

That fits together nicely with the fact that John is always thinking/dreaming/talking about Sherlock when he is in his and Mary's flat...
