    If I remember correctly, I think this is more or less the only time in TEH that John looks actually happy:

    Indeed. He is so happy when he suspects that Sherlock is sitting in his surgery. But for me his most heartbreakingly happy look is this. There are wonderful gifs of the scene but I only have this pic:
