So I made a thing...heard this song (Bruno Mars, It will rain) and I couldn't help but to think of our boys!

*sob*

Anyone have an idea for an Official Song for the OSAJ?

I know there are many songs that make us think of Johnlock but is there one that's truely hopeful as we like to be for our boys.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Does anyone know : I can' t stand this feeling any longer?
I love that song.
What makes me hopefull is the song Kokoro from the Videogame Xenosaga....unfortunally I can't make a link from my mobile...

My absolutly fave Johnlock is, and stays:Never Knew I head a heart, till it beat for you from Karliene.

I may be on the side of the angels, but don't think for one second, that I am one of them...

Aww, finding an official song is a brilliant idea.

Guardian by Alanis Morissette is my personal Johnlock song.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

I know it has been used for the ultra sad "Alone on the water" video but I always associate it with Sherlock and John - Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years":

Susi, I had to think of that one immediately, too. It's very sad though...

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

True. But it was quite a sad love story so far.

So here is a short funny interlude:

God help me I can barely listen to that song now because of that fic and video.  :-(

REO Speedwagon's "I Can't Fight This Feeling" would be a good one too.

....And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
and throw away the oars forever...........

It even mentions SHIPS!..

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Oh wow.  Just reread the whole song.

Check this out:

"Can't Fight This Feeling"
I can't fight this feeling any longer
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship, has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show

I tell myself that I can't hold out forever
I said there is no reason for my fear
Cause I feel so secure when we're together
You give my life direction
You make everything so clear

And even as I wander
I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window
On a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might

And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars, forever

Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crushing through your door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore

My life has been such a whirlwind since I saw you
I've been running round in circles in my mind
And it always seems that I'm following you, girl
Cause you take me to the places that alone I'd never find

And even as I wander I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window on a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might

And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars, forever

Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crushing through your door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Doesn't the forum have any threads for music suggestions for Sherlock videos?  If not, we should have. Seems a bit off-topic here.  Don't mind me, I'll just be over here under my rock again.

I only brought it up here because I'm looking for an official song to represent the OSAJ.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Love it. And it is definitely strange that we do not get to see him, one of John's few friends, and Harry, John's only known relative. Could they be among those who hate Mary?

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

It's actually quite interesting that so many people connected to John seem to hate her. Are they all idiots or are they... rather clever?

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Yes. And did you have a good look at the guests? There are so some who look like night club bouncers or thugs. I wonder who was belonged to John's side at all apart from Sholto, Molly, Lestrade, and Mrs Hudson.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

I was quite surprised by the amount of wedding guests at JW and MM wedding since both are loners and not exactly popular with people. Did they rent them at some "wedding arrangemet agency" or what?

-----------------------------------

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

I wondered that, too. Coworkers, I suppose, from the doc's office. Half of Scotland Yard. Mrs. Hudson, of course. If everyone brought a "plus one", that'd only be about maybe 30 that they knew well enough to invite, so that's not too far-fetched. I don't think there were more than 50 or 60 in that reception room. ??
