Ah, so there is the first pair of socks! 
If we all send them socks seperately, it might me a bit easier logistically... everyone could include her own little message and stuff. And maybe we could agree on something identical in each message, so it's clear that there are... lots of crazy members of the... SocksBatchCollective.

I think sending from your indiividual part of the world is, as Solar said, a logistically better idea. Plus we'll get a variety of socks! So he'll get a Batch of Socks. Maybe we can make a unifying logo or something to include as the letterhead or something.

If we're taking this seriously, and I want to. , do any of our experts out there know the best place to send them too? We would need an actual address I reckon. Can't just post them to "Benedict Cumberbatch, where ever he may be." *giggle*
The socks are just such a lovely expression of his quirkiness. You see him all slicked back and suited up and then your eyes travel down to his feet and...................SOCKS! Like the glittery shoes and the skull tie it shows that he's much more than what you see on the outside.

Okay, so for a little preliminary result:
1. Our official name is: CumberSocksCollective
2. We send him our socks individually
3. We all include an individual message which also carries the name CumberSocksCollective - maybe really as a footnote that says "Member of the CumberSocksCollective" ?
4. If someone is able to design a logo, we also include the logo
