I honestly don't know what I'd be doing with my time if I wasn't spending it on here!

Me either!
I'm not even sure I'd be breathing... ugh that got more dramatic than I intended; but I just want to thank all of you amazing, perfectly crazy girls! And all your amazing pictures too!

... I actually think I've seen that one; with a Danish speaker. Meh! I have it on my list at the library!

Offline

I also watched it with a German speaker ... boring ... ![]()

I almost bought an eco cheese I knew I wouldn't like the taste of; and couldn't really afford either... just because it was called 'Benedict'

Offline
Phantom, that made me laugh! I hope the cheese tastes ok:D

I almost regret not buying it... I might do one day when I have a bit of money! I bet it'd be good with a slice of cucumber!

I bought a used copy of Atonement today from a clearance sale... I am never going to be able to watch it again, I got so ill the first and only time I did... but seeing it sitting there about to be thrown in the bin in a few days I just couldn't let that happen.

I took up drawing after a decade off and went to London just to go to speedys.
I've bought music and books just because a certain person recommended them.
And I came on here and met some amazing people who I can truly call friends.
Everyone is a winner!!

I've rediscovered Elbow and become completely addicted to the song My Sad Captains.
Have also reread Hamlet, and read Shakespeare's Richard III ![]()
Offline

Yeah, Hamlet ... I bought a book and a film for research . ![]()

Which film version gently?
I want to see a film of if before - hopefully - seeing Benedict in it, but I'm not sure which one to look for.
Offline

A film with Kenneth Branagh was recommended to me. Don't watch it so far because it is a monumental piece of work and I need the time and mood for it.

Offline
I recommended the version by Branagh, among other things it's uncut... so you know the complete play once you've seen the movie.
And yes, "Elbow"... what a discovery! I've been listening to the CD non-stop for the last two days, it's so amazing... sometimes I'm reminded a bit of "Pink Floyd", then again it's a bit like Peter Gabriel... but mainly it's just brilliant and exceptional stuff.
Offline
Thanks, ladies - the Branagh version it is then!
Benedict is actually costing me a small fortune in DVDs, Books and Music!!

I know, Tinks, I know. ![]()

I'm also spending oodles on stuff, mainly music actually! I've bought Elbow, Friendly Fires, Daft Punk and London Grammar thanks to him!

Offline

I wouldn't have known London Grammar, Elbow, Bon Iver if it werent' for Ben. I wouldn't have taken interest in Shakespeare or taken up charcoal drawing. I also wouldn't be taking second looks at the socks section in the department store wondering if a certain person would've loved that particular pattern or color.
I also wouldn't have sat down and actually watched a YouTube video on napkin folding. ![]()
