That seems to be an intelligent review at least. I could watch it on Crete as well, because ARD is ons of two German channels we receive. I am not sure if I will do it.

Of course there are some things in the FAZ article where I thought 'oh no, don't write that!' - for example, he writes that Sherlock is brought back to London because a terrorist attack on the Houses of Parliament is imminent - but we don't know that until we see it, we only know about an attack! I know, it's just a minor detail, but I remember when I watched TEH for the first time and we saw that explosion... I was like "Wow!".
But okay, I don't want to complain, because it really is an excellent review. And a nice pic of Sherlock.

'Interesting' little detail in a review I just found in the "Welt Kompakt", I guess the author is talking about TSoT:

To be honest, some of these things don't bother me all that much, because I'm sure that the 'normal viewers' who have no information about S3 so far whatsoever and see these things out of context won't really know what's going on - and it won't spoil it for them, either. 

Magnussen, for example... the whole fandom (or at least most of the fans) knew about him well in advance, we knew the actor, we knew who he is in canon. We knew he would be the villain and still - we were surprised by most of what we finally saw of him in HLV. 

Appledore end scene... we see that there are guns pointing at Sherlock, so his life is in danger - not the first time. The trailer doesn't give away what's going on there exactly, we don't know which episode it is, we don't know it's the showdown. So all we know is: something quite bad will be going on. But that is to be expected, at least if you don't watch the show for the very first time.

Seeing Mary shooting Sherlock is a problem if you look really closely, manage to take a good look at her and then make the connection when you watch TEH (or see the pic of the cast, I grant you that). I'm not sure she is really recognizeable in that short moment, though. 

Everything else you've mentioned might not be all that clever. Then again, you see things like these in every movie trailer, and admitted, some movie trailers really suck because they just show far too much of the film already. I understand why the ARD thinks that they need to show some action in the trailer. 
I also know that I knew quite a lot of things about S3 before I actually watched it - and it was all fine.

I actually tend to doubt very much that the 'normal viewer' sees this trailer often enough before the episodes are aired in order to keep in mind all the details and then immediately make a connection when the scenes come up.
I might be wrong of course, but we know every single scene by heart now, and from our point of view all these things probably are very, very obvious. But when I'm trying to put myself into the position of the 'normal viewer'... I'm not so sure about making connections and recognizing it all while watching the episodes for the very first time. And I'm not saying that the audience is stupid.  
 

Well maybe I am a bit strange about it then.
Because I stopped watching trailers because of such.
I really remember such tiny little bits which I have seen before and directly remember what I saw before and put it in context to the scene I am watching...
This is how my brain works, so for me this whole thing would have been a major spoiler.

I didn't find it online, either. Maybe it's one of those articles you have to pay for?
 

It's a BBC trailer, and I certainly expect the BBC to get their trailers right for their own shows. When it comes to German televion, they don't even get trailers for their own productions right, so I just don't expect them to work miracles on something like a "Sherlock" trailer.
But like I already said, I don't even consider all of the things you mentioned to be spoilers, so I guess we won't agree on that topic anyway.

Yes you're right with that. They could have just used 'du' after the first episode.
I'm so happy that they switched at all.
I can't wait for tomorrow even I have already seen it in English.
