I a thinking about the Mori bit the other day, like memento mori. Moriarty is also an Irsih name which led Moftiss towards using an Irish actor, what a good decision that was eh!

I knew it was an Irish name but latin is the origin of Spanish and somehow I've always related Moriarty's name to death. To a Spanish native it sounds just to close to death. Anyway, thanks to you I have discovered you can translate latin with Google Translator, I didn't know
