Hi from middle-aged fan

Hi!  I'm an old time Sherlock fan as in the visual media.  Seen most of the movies, tv series etc. Have only recently acquired the stories, I'm ashamed to say, and am making my way through them now.  Did read one or two of the shorter ones in school, the one that sticks in my memory so far, The Engineer's Thumb mainly because it sort of reminded me a bit of the more fantastical and scary parts of the Phantom of the Opera. The traps etc.  Plus, gruesome way to lose a thumb...
Loved the Granada series but now hard pressed to know which I prefer; that one or Sherlock.
This series is amazing and so clever!

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.
