Re: Sherlock Quotes Hangman

In  your  puzzle above,  I think    the answer is---

The Hours on his watch were correct, but the Date was wrong.    Is this from  THE BLIND BANKER?

Re: Sherlock Quotes Hangman

Isn't the quote something like the time was right but the date was wrong? It doesn't say "hands", for example, either.

I'll admit to being really puzzled by this one, I even went through a few of the transcripts but couldn't find anything that matched. So I'm intrigued!

Re: Sherlock Quotes Hangman

ah, I can't find it. Honestly, at this point I've actually resorted to doing a search, that's how much its puzzling me (normally I have a sense of what it will be and then check the exact wording to make sure its correct). So I for one give up, I can't find it.

Re: Sherlock Quotes Hangman

Marheri, is the quote "the hands were correct but the date was not?"

If so, are you sure that's a quote from the series?

ETA Mahari just in case you've misquoted, please don't worry, I did it myself a while back, just take another go  . And if I'm wrong, by the way, and the quote is there, apologies.

Re: Sherlock Quotes Hangman

Hi, once more, Harriet's fault  . I gave Marheri this quote, took it just the way I found it from the Ariane deVere transcript.
Which is wrong in this case (but great nevertheless), as it says "hands".
Sorry to Marheri and you guys...

I'd say, beekeeper won - ok for you, Marheri?
