I'll try. Do you have any idea where to get good tea in America? I've heard most of it is bad, but I wouldn't really know. And I switched it over to capital letters, sorry about that. Vowels are now open.

Thank you so much, that's really nice!

Now, you got me into something I'm not American... but I wouldn't buy tea-bags for a start, and not the very cheapest tea either.
British people seem to prefer a blend with a good lot of Assam tea, which makes the tea dark and strong and deep.
English Breakfast Tea might be a name to look out for. You could add milk/cream and or sugar.
Many people like Darjeeling tea, which is lighter and has a unique aroma, maybe comparable to Basmati rice compared to normal rice.
Darjeeling is fine with sugar, but I wouldn't add milk.
Also some flavoured black teas are not that bad (don't hit me for that, folks), Earl Grey is a British classic that goes with sugar but no milk.
Green Tea is imho for advanced drinkers.
If your black tea bag has letters on it like GFOP (I hope I got that correct), it indicates you found a company who cares about the quality.
The letters stand for the type of harvest.

The taste actually can differ if you use a cup, a mug or a tea bowl.
I would also look out for tea from a fair trade company, so that the farmers who often work under bad conditions will also enjoy. And the quality there is good even without extra letters. Same for organic teas. You pay a little more, but if you become a frequent drinker, tea is still cheaper than coffee.
Taste also depends on your local water. If it contains a lot of carbonate, filtered or bottled water might be preferable.
Darjeeling is very sensitive here, Assam tea blends tolerate a little more.
Add at least half an extra tea spoon for the teapot. Warm the pot with hot water before you make the tea. And enjoy!

Give yourself some time to experiment a little.
And don't use a teapot that is used for coffee or herbal/fruit tea!!!

I don't mean to be a prat, but we have a chit chat thread over in the OTHER section where we can talk about anything. I'll list my advice for tea over there. I've just gone over 10 pages of posts to find the newest quotes we've used. whew!! What a mess we've made, hmm?

The list of A-Z quotes is getting REALLY big, so I'm wondering if we can LOCK or delete the first quotes used thread, and then make two new threads, splitting up the alphabet quotes?
