I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

I have no idea how that came to happen, but I like it.

Also, I'm glad you liked my theory about the fur coat and the gown.

Re: Silly pictures of associations only Sherlockians can understand

So I was looking at Google Street View to see what the street where the bus station that I will be arriving at next weekend looks like.  I was looking at the station and the surrounding area when I saw John Watson walking the streets of Ottawa.

Re: Silly pictures of associations only Sherlockians can understand

Sherlock makes sudden, unannounced trips to Belarus or to Karachi sometimes, so John decided to turn the tables on him and made this visit into Ottawa...

And yes, Sherlock is probably unaware that he left and still leads dialogues with him at Baker Street...

Re: Silly pictures of associations only Sherlockians can understand

Awwww!  Adorable…  and also, no picture involved, but this kind of goes in the train of thought with 'you know you're sherlocked', but also with just being reminded of it thanks to your 'mind palace' comment --

My mom and I watched 'Inside Out' the other day, because I love how Pixar animates their films so well and makes them so sweet/endearing yet kinda deep, for kids and adults to enjoy, and this was no exception, excited about the neat concept of it, with five of the main Emotions controlling how their girl reacts, and the message that they're all important.  Well, a couple times during, what with the Emotions that live in the young girl Riley's head being in their special Headquarters, and the rest of her mind made up by the Long Term Memory vaults, Imagination Land, the Dream studios, the Fear Cave, etc, hard not to think 'huh!  wonder how Sherlock's mind palace would translate to all of this'.
