My Day as a Cat (or...How Sherlock Holmes was right)

We took the mini-me out today to a fun place not far from here to do some early trick-or-treating and hob-nobbing with other like-minded tiny humanoids.

Got that?

Okay. So yeah, I dressed up like a cat. Whiskers on my face, ears on my head, tail...you get the idea.

Well, when we were done I had to stop at the grocery store (first thing on the list: cat litter. Go figure.) mostly the only people who paid any attention to the girl in the purple shirt dressed up like a cat was little kids. I didn't even get so much as an eye roll from most adults!

So, yeah, Sherlock's right. I even stood right in front of  some of these people (with a 20# container of cat litter) and they DID NOT see me

People only notice 6% of their surroundings....I did NOT believe it before, but I do now :D Next time you see some grown up in a costume at least look at them like they are nuts :D
