Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

Yes, Susi...! Sherlock's "Therefore he is mine" is just priceless.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

This thread had turned into another 'mockups/photoshop' thread.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

Now for something completely different. I have no idea if this has been discussed before. I just read it on tumblr and watched the scene again.
During the Rizla game John leans forward, puts his hand on Sherlock's knee and says "I don't mind". If you look closely you can see that Sherlock answers but his voice cannot be heard. And his answer is not shown in the subtitles as far as I know. Some people came up with the suggestion that he says "Anytime" which would go with his lip movements.
Whatever it was, they decided not let hear people the answer. Wonder why.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

I read that too, Susi. They described it with: "I don't, either." or something like that. I don't remember exactly, but same meaning at least.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

Yes, same meaning. But if you look at his lips, the answer seems to be quite short. Whatever it is, I like both versions.

Hmmmm..... take a close look at his lips? Oh well, why not?

And now we have a scientific reason for doing this.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

Okayyyy..... John says "I don't mind."
And then Sherlock: ...   Oh, let's have another look.

That's the spirit, Mattlocked. Again and again and again, all for science.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

I'm now watching it in slow motion which makes them sound even more drunk.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

Go Susi, go.

"Anytime". I understand "Anytime".
But do you think it was on purpose that we can't hear it properly? I think it's just our John/Martin who is too fast there......

Hm, I think I'll have another one. Just to make sure.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

I also read that on tumblr, someone even made the short clip a little brighter so you can see the boys a bit better. I think I never would have understood what Sherlock is really saying there, but it looks pretty much like "anytime" indeed...
Maybe that wasn't even scripted? Didn't they say that Martin and Benedict improvised quite a bit in that scene?

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

I think so, too, Solar. That's why we have Martin's voice over Ben's.
I watched and listened to it reeeeeeeaaaaally slow now and it is "anytime". I'm sure.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

And we are all happy.

Btw, I still love how they are sitting on the sofa together and NOT where they usually sit when clients come.

They aren't usually drunk when clients come.

Oh, wait, I haven't reached that scene, yet. Too slow.

Re: Johnlock: The Official Debate

Definitely happy.

And I love that, too. Even if it's just because they are drunk and not really sane, but still... it's so beautiful to see them together like this.

Yes, but they are so comfortably drunk together. That's all I need to see and know.
